Is there any possibilities that the ticket from Prague to Bratislava will be sold out at the station?

Thank you.

Hi Jakub, are there any pensioner fares available please? We are intending travelling from Budapest to Prague with a break in Bratislava. Thank you in anticipation.

To say that the trains depart every 2 hours is not good enough. What we need is the timetable,

Hi Wael,

there is a baggage depository right at the train station, that is the best option for you.

Enjoy your stay,

Samuel

We are looking to stop off in Bratislava for 1/2 a day or a full day on our way from Budapest to Prague in a couple of weeks.

I am wondering if there is a Sleeper train from Bratislava to Prague overnight as this would be our prefered option.

Also I am worried that if I don't book in advance the price will be too expensive. Is it possible to book online, and how? Will the price be the same as if I book on the day?

Hi Ali,

check this link for you train http://tinyurl.com/ouse2c3

The difference is that the Slovak webpage does not sell tickets online (for some peculiar reasons)

Thanks so much for your rapid response Samuel,

That link is for Prague->Bratislava. I switched it around and it says sold out, so I think we will have to take a train during the day. Do we need to buy 2 tickets, or can we just buy ticket from Budapest to Prague and stop in Bratislava for 8 hours?

...

Hi Ali,

I'm afraid you will have to buy 2 tickets. You can also consider travelling to Prague by bus.

Perfect - I think we will do that.

Final question- My wife is a student (in the UK). Is it true she doesn't need a ticket as I heard students travel for free on trains in Czech Republic and Slovakia. What documentation does she need to bring?
