The annual Bratislava Music Festival will be held for the 50th time, starting on 21st of September.
Bratislava Music Festival was first held in 1964 and was originally focused on contemporary music, but quickly evolved into a festival of mainly Slovak classical music. The festival is organized by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and managed by the honorary president of the festival, the world famous soprano diva Edita Gruberova.
There have been 25 concerts announced in total so far, with prominent names on the list of performers including but not limited to Israeli Philharmonics, London Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Philharmoniker, Grand Symphonic Orchestra of P. I. Tchaikovsky from Moscau, Czech Philharmonics, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orquesta Sinfonica de Barcelona y Nacional de Cataluňa and many more.
